Just wanted to pass along what happened yesterday on the water during our small club TX. Got to first spot the only boat back in a pocket 30 minutes go by a boat comes in with only one boater. We were fishing along the grass as we got closer to the boat he threw his bait toward my boat. I didn't say anything, then he asked me if I owned the Fuc% water. I said excuse me. He then repeated his self. I said you saw me in the pocket and new I was fishing this grass line he continued to argue and stated that TX fishing is killing this water and fisherman like us need to get out of here and that we were gamblers and we don't pay taxes for this money I told him enjoy his day he continued to follow me and raise hell and he stated he does this to all TX fisherman as he continued to follow me and throw in front of me and still cursing at me I told my partner lets just leave this guy alone I'm not stopping to this guys level he finally started up his boat and ran full throttle next to me along the grass line I just laughed as he went buy I have been fishing for a long time and this is the first time something like this has happened to me, I never cut anyone off I give the respect to all anglers last week with the CBA TX going on I went back in the same pocket saw a CBA boat they were coming towards me about 200 feet away I got off my path and trolled to them and stated to them I know you are TX fishing and didn't want to get in there way they stated to me don't worry fish were ever you want and that I'm not in there way we need more people like that.

Just a testament to how entitled society is as a whole. Kuddos for keeping your cool. Takes way more of a man to walk away from irrational anger.

I think I agree with you on some jerk screwing with you when you were in the pocket ahead of this rude butt hole, but it's hard to understand exactly what it is you are saying. Your fishing rights are understood, but your statements are not. You must use punctuation in your verse for anyone to understand what you are saying. I can't believe the volume you have expatriated without the first sign of a punctuation mark. I assume you're a young guy that does a lot of texting with no punctuation. Well, that might work with your young friends but, with any scientific, engineering, scholastic, analytical, or any English speaking entity, the punctuation is as important as the verse. Go back to the seventh grade.

Way to take the high road! Most of the fishermen I know are gentlemen in the water.

I had a boat get pretty close to me while I was fishing a TX Saturday. They trolled up to me within about 75 feet, I looked over and it was a grandad with his grandsons. I think he realized he was kind of close and trolled away and I thought that what he was doing was more important than what I was doing.

spuds704 is pretty passionate about punctuation but I hadn’t realized that there wasn’t any! And I’m an old guy, hahahaha!

Dang didn't know this was English class he's not a journalist writing a article in news paper he's complaining about a prick on the water give him a break

Wow Spuds! You must be one of those people in my high school i never met or saw until the photo of the English Club in the annual. I personally understood the post fine. This forum has never been full of punctuation PhD's until you came along.
Way to keep your cool Jay, you know I would probably not done as well.

Lol I was thinking the same thing! I never noticed it either and I'm a 35 year old flip phone owner!

I enjoyed reading it for the content. I really wasn't reading to scrutinize it for punctuation. I guess that was more important that the info.

This wont be a popular comment.

What happened to you is disgraceful!
Unfortunately this has happened to me several times, but it was TX anglers each time, they told me they were fishing for money and I should give them the water.

you handled the situation well, you could have also taken a pic of his boat as he ran by and reported him for operating a water craft unsafely.

pfft...grammar nazis everywhere LOL!

Get out of here with that crap, you can read it just fine if you get over yourself long enough to take the time to read it. You're probably buddies with the guy who he was talking about.

Got to be this douche.

Priceless! Should have taken a picture of him and posted it. Advised him you were going to call TWRA and report him for harassment on the water. The few times this has happened to me I have simply pulled out my phone and snapped a few pictures of the person, boat and registration number. As for the grammar police, not sure what to say. Guy apparently studied hard at CSTCC so he is a grammar expert.

It’s times like this that makes me think of a verse in Ephesians. For it is a sin to be angry at the person and not the situation. Hope that makes sense. it really calms me down.

Wouldn't the man's actions be considered harassment of a fisherman? He practically admitted it. Isn't it against the law to harrass fisherman and hunters to deprive them of their sport?
