rude tourney fishermen

Fuzzy has the right idea. If I am on a hole and a feller floats up and asks nicely, and lets me know he is in a tourney, I'll pull off and let him have it for a while. I often sit back and watch and see if I can learn anything. I'm not a wuss, just don't mind helping out someone who might have several hundred dollars at stake or is fishing to help feed his family. Now hippies on jet skis or city slickers in mini aircraft carriers get no breaks. I'll sit on a spot until the durn boat seat rots out from under me before I'll move for one of them!

This is serious, I read a study that found that incompentent people do not realize that they are incompetent, now does that explain a lot or what. Nobody wants to be stupid or do stupid stuff, or just not be productive, and the ones that are don't even know they are. So if you know your being incompetent or stupid, then you are probably not that way.

Fishing on the tournament waters is permitted anywhere except –within 50 yards of the gas pump at a marina and within 50 yards of another competitor’s boat, which was first anchored.

This is the rules for FLW tournaments. Notice however it reads anchored boat and it says competitor. I guess you dont have to worry about anyone else..lol

You do make a good point about how all bass fishermen release their fish when we catch a non-keeper. I, for too long, thought nothing of tossing a fish back from waist high + 2' standing on the front deck of my boat. If the fish lands on it's side, it will do internal damage. It's like me doing a belly buster off a 30' high bridge. Take a second, drop to a knee, & let those valuable fish swim away.

I have noticed that crappie fisherman can be way more cut throat than bass fisherman. I have been fishing brushpiles in the spring, catch a crappie, and three boats across the cove come right in there with you. Happens a lot in the spring, and I guess this is the only time they can catch them.

Thanks to DK, I can just about catch them year round.

Ive always had a problem with those darn catfisherman. Always drifting around really slow, and taking up all the space right below their boat. Ive caught some pretty descent fish underneath other peoples boats while their fishing. I especially hate it when they cut their trolling motor on and my line gets tangled up in it. Some people need to be more curtious when it comes to that. :bobber11:
