Rush has about 20 million listeners give or take on most any given day. I'm sure there are a few more out there that don't agree with him. I'm guessing there are prolly about a half dozen on here who don't like him too.
To answer your question I think there is a lot of sense in what he preaches. He would not have 20 million listeners if he were the "extreme nut job" you think he is. Guarantee that one!

Obama has millions of supporters also, does that prove him right? My point is that a person having followers and listeners doesn't validate the things that they say or do, it only proves that others hold the same opinion.

Yea, nut job is far fetched. I've listened to him enough to know that he's no dummy. Wrong choice of words.

One BIG difference between olbummer and Rush is that while olbummer's numbers are dropping like a rock, Rush's ratings are continuing to rise and have been for well over 20 years.
I used to listen to Rush daily but since we are pretty much in lockstep I do not listen to him much anymore. He used to be a lot funnier with his presentation too.

Wonder if the author of this thread listens to that bonafide IDIOT..Kieth Oberman? Just asking! emoEnforce

The difference is Obama put up, while Rush needs to shut up. If he is so smart why does he not just run for office and fix this country. I will tell you why, he is making about 40 million a year telling some people exactly what they want to hear. Man does have it going on. I would really like to see this man have an actual presidential debate so people could see just exactly what and who he stands for. Is that to much to ask from the self proclaimed guru of Politics.

He is much more intelligent than the dumb a>> president we have. Just my opinion.

I've heard Rush & Obama, Rush dosen't lie,,,and I mean tell an out right LIE..If he did he would be off the air. On the other hand, Obama lied several times and continues to do so, and yet his mice,,,err followers keep on following him,,,why,,are they lost sheep, or just mice dancing to the tune/
If you look at how Obama talks, you'd think he learned it from Rev Wright, who he listened to for 20 years.
I've been to a black church before, and believe me Brother, they preach politics.
The main reaon people don't like Rush is: he hit a nerve and made your knee jerk, they belong to the womens movement, they are in the teachers union, they envy his money, or he is smarter than you and it really makes you feel stupid.
When you preach to the choir, you had better be able to carry a tune. Never be so open minded that your brains fall out, and never be so closed minded, a blind man CAN lead you around.

He needs to put up or shut up. Heck I would debate him. How is that possible. Will never happen because the man will never be held accountable for his so called know it all mentality. Eyeman why are you attacking me? I guess this is where I am suppose to be the good little liberal and bow down.

I ain't attacking...Try debating Obama, you probably would win. Rush, I doubt it. When a man is self taught, he's hard to beat at his own game..Just ask a preacher.
If Rush ran for public office he would probably win, but why should he, he has a job & an ego, so why bother with politics.
I think like he say's on his show, and that's what it is, a show, he is 99% right, and he has an uncanny way of predicting the future. That my friend is hard to beat. Wouldn't you like to be that good at fishing?

Rush would chew olbummer, possum and a couple more liberals combined up and spit them out in a debate on FACTS.
All a liberal depends on is touchy feely with no substance. Rush deals in cold hard PROVEABLE facts.

I predicted the future, I knew when Obama was elected republicans would go back to their "time to get back in touch with America speech," just like they did with Clinton, and will go to far. Rush needed Obama to get elected so he could become relavent again. There is a fact. What facts you talking about cheez. You know there is a difference between perception and reality. Again Rush will never step up and be held accoutable for what he is trying to sell in a national debate.

You still haven't addresed the answer...If Rush lied and it was on tape, as much as The President of The United States has done, at present, Obama, he would be fired.

End of story.

End of story.

Here's just a few to start... I'll get more if you want...

1. "It has not been proven that nicotine is addictive, the same with cigarettes causing emphysema [and other diseases]." (Radio show, 4/29/94)

2. LIMBAUGH: On the Republicans' "Contract With America": "The New York Times never ran anything on the contract 'til after the election. The rest of the news media hardly talked about it at all." (TV, 4/6/95)

REALITY: In the 42 days between the announcement of the "Contract with America" and the Nov. 8, 1994 election, the New York Times published 45 articles that mentioned the contract--more than one a day. The Nexis computer database reports that more than 1400 pieces mentioning the contract were published before the election.

3. LIMBAUGH: "Banks take the risks in issuing student loans and they are entitled to the profits." (Radio show, quoted in FRQ, Summer/93)

REALITY: Banks take no risks in issuing student loans, which are federally insured.

4. LIMBAUGH: Comparing the 1950s with the present: "And I might point out that poverty and economic disparities between the lower and upper classes were greater during the former period." (Told You So, p. 84)

REALITY: Income inequality, as measured by the U.S. Census Bureau, fell from the 1940s to the late 1960s, and then began rising. Inequality surpassed the 1950 level in 1982 and rose steadily to all-time highs in 1992. (Census Bureau's "Money Income of Households, Families and Persons in the United States")

5. LIMBAUGH: "Oh, how they relished blaming Reagan administration policies, including the mythical reductions in HUD's budget for public housing, for creating all of the homeless! Budget cuts? There were no budget cuts! The budget figures show that actual construction of public housing increased during the Reagan years." (Ought to Be, p. 242-243)

REALITY: In 1980, 20,900 low-income public housing units were under construction; in 1988, 9,700, a decline of 54 percent ;Statistical Abstracts of the U.S).In terms of 1993 dollars, the HUD budget for the construction of new public housing was slashed from $6.3 billion in 1980 to $683 million in 1988. "We're getting out of the housing business. Period," a Reagan HUD official declared in 1985.

6. LIMBAUGH: "There's no such thing as an implied contract." (Radio show, quoted in FRQ, Spring/93)

REALITY: Every first-year law student knows there is.

Rush is like a sports fan sitting in the stands, thinks he knows who should be playing, what plays they should be running, and talking about how the coaches don't know what they are doing, without ever having coached a day in his life. Put up or shut up Rush! New motto. Rush 2012.

He is exercising his right to free speech. If you don't want to hear it, don't listen. I sure as hell don't. I also despise Keith Olberman but obivously he has an audience also. Free speech man.
