This much is for certain.
First tournament will be Saturday night June the 13th.
The first one will be out of Harrison Bay (If there is enough interest maybe we could rotate it to other ramps ie. Chester Frost)
The tournament will be held from 7 PM until 2 AM
You must be in the no wake zone by 2 AM
No culling dead fish. 1 dead may be weighed in with a 4 oz penalty.
I fished a tournament a few weeks ago had 12 lbs would have got 3rd ( and about a $100), but did not get to weigh my fish because they had quit weighing in fish. Needless to say I was frustrated. THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN. The last call for weigh in will be 2:30 (obviously this would be subject to change with the number of boats). If you have fish let me or one of the other guys know, and we will wait for you to weigh your fish. I know it can get crowded at the ramp with everyone trying to get their boats out, so everybody be patient, I want everybody to get their fish weighed. Please be sure to check in so we know everybody got off the water safe. I will make sure that everyone has several cell numbers in case of trouble.
As far as blast off, it is not a real problem with 10 or 15 boats. However when you get 30 boats trying to make the turn up river, it gets kinda scary. What do you guys think about a staged blast off or doing it in two flights ( with a time adjustment of course)? I just don't want to get somebody hurt.
I like the ideas on payout and we need to decide something, so keep them coming. The biggest question seems to be 3 or 5 fish. I like 5 personally, but I don't really care. I think we need to be concerned about stressing the fish and keeping them alive. I thought as the weather got hotter we could downsize to 3 but initially start out with 5. But, like I said, I don't really care. As I said, I would like to get this finalized by this weekend so please give your input. I want us to have a successful event and not one everybody complains about. Please feel free to PM me. If you want to talk versus type PM me and I will send you my number. Thanks, Boone
