Like JMAX my step-son and I hit Chick way early Monday had one of our best days ever. I've been tied up refinishing wood floors lately so this was a welcome break from that. Our first few came shallow (2-4 feet) around weeds on dark green GY senko and black and chartruse GY kreatures. Once it was light the red shad lizard seemed to be the ticket. By then we were fishing shoreline blowdowns with deep dropoffs. By noon we were done. This was my personal best day of bass fishing EVER, and my first breakthru fishing soft plastics; however, I'm a mere mortal and after reading JMAX's report there's just no doggone way I'm gonna embarrass myself by bringing up numbers. Suffice it to say that after the dawg days it was great to have a productive day, and I'm proud to finally have the plastics dialed in.

Good report there mandolinpicker, I know what you mean after fishing the Bar with JTF on Saturday. I had one of my worse days there and could not seem to get anything going. I will say the lake looked great and I did see one real good one JTF hooked and brought to the surface but than it came off. We only managed about a dozen in the boat without a single keeper. I was gald to hit them as we did yesterday as well.;) Jmax

Dang, JMAX, what you descibe as a bad day is a stellar day for this rookie! I'm looking forward to the day when I have a day like you had Monday. That said, I was thrilled to have the day I did, and I've only been at this intesively for the last year or so. You were talking about running into other members on the water in another post. I'm always wondering if I'm fishing next to a CFF guy (or gal). We should run up flags or something - a Jolly Roger with the CFF logo sounds good - HA. There was a guy fishing around the islands out from Island Cove Marina Monday that looked a bit like the pics I've seen of polo dog, but I didn't want to disturb him to find out. Anyway, Bro, I'm the guy in the aluminum, camo 16 footer. Headlight on the front, Georgia registration. If you ever see me, don't hesitate to say hello. Chip
