So, my wife purchased a fishing trip for me with subject guide. God bless her sweet heart. To be honest, I did not know what to expect. The day started on a cold February 2 morning. I met with Captain Chris Peters at Skull Island boat ramp. Chris and I hit it off immediately. Very personable and knowledgeable guide. We headed up the river shortly after 7am. Did I mention it was cold? First stop, we used small swimbaits. Bite was slow but we managed to boat a few. We moved upriver to another creek where we remained for the remainder of the day fishing various spots. My first-time using an A-rig. I was not disappointed. I'm not sure how many bass we boated, neither of us were counting. I would say it was between 25-30. And yes, a good urn came unbuttoned. I'm not sure how many times I hung that A-rig up. At least ten times. I didn't feel so bad after Chris did the same a few times. He has the patience of Job. Chris had this lure retriever, "Tipton's Golden Retriever" and we did not lose a single rig/lure. Got one ordered. If I ever go with a guide again, I know who I'm going. My day on the water was a great experience, good times! Thanks Chris and Scenic City Fishing.

Rob, thanks so much for sharing. Capt. Peters is a great guide and great guy. We are fortunate to have him on the SCF Team!
