Can someone tell me if the bait are on the banks before daylight at chick watts bar or louden. I know I've caught them below the spillway at Carter's before daylight a lot easier than they can becaught after daylight.
Threadfin shad migrate to the banks every night. Actually, they move there in the late afternoon when the light gets dim enough. They feed and spawn there. But, next morning, when the light gets bright enough, they migrate into open water. I read that they spawn every night during hot weather. I suspect this is nature's way to assure survival of the species.
