Nothing beats a little elbow grease. GO by an inexpensive buffer and some compound, coat after coat until you go through the entire can. Then use Bass Boat Saver. Several coats to start, then every time you come out of the water spray and wipe the entire boat down. Hull, seats, trim, and motor. You will never have to wax again and it will keep that showroon appearance.

My Norriscraft was nasty, not anymore. Not to bad for a 18 year old boat that everybody swore was brown.

Hey Carl I bought a little 20 dollar buffer at wal mart and it seemed to not do very well. Do I need a variable speed buffer?

ga284 - 1/7/2016 8:48 PM Carl what kind of compound did you use ? Your boat looks great.

The one I used I bought at Sears. It was 49.00 dollars and single speed. You have to keep going over and over the same areas. It is not an instant fix. But it is well worth the effort for the finished product.

I would work an area that was 3 x 3 and each area would take at least 4 hours. You do not need a variable speed buffer.

Just work an area over well, move on to the next area. Once the first area dries, wipe it down and check the surface. Continue this process, until it looks the way you want it to. When you are done start the entire process over with Bass Boat Saver. At least three coats over the entire boat.

Take a look at the video on www.protecproducts.com it will show you just how the process is done. Yes there is some work involved but it will show you the correct process to achieve the finish you are looking for with out killing yourself doing it. The top cap on a 19ft boat takes about 6-8 hrs using this process. I have done enough of them to know what it takes. Feel free to call if you have any questions.
