Should they burn Koran's on 9-11?

It would be more fun to stick a Shoot-N-C target on the cover and engage with
7.62 mm rounds.

No. The overwhelming majority of people in the world regardless of religion or ethnicity love their children, their grandchildren and their parents and would not want to see any one else's family harmed just as I would not.

Book burning serves no logical purpose but to hurt and divide. That is the opposite direction we need to be heading.

Do not agree with the act itself, but it is nice to see Americans still upset many years after 9-11! A little background, I am a highly educated individual, which will lead to my next statement: I do not see much difference in my heart with the burning of the Koran, and building a mosque at ground zero! I know a lot will not agree, but that is my dime!

I think it is not a good idea. It is his right, but that doesn't make it a good idea. Maybe he and his twisted church cult will "see the light." I usually do not comment on stuff of this nature or politics but this guy is nuts! I just hope he will come to his senses. I believe that you can practice whatever religion you want as long as it does not inflict harm upon me or my family. I think I read that he was told by God that this was what he was to do..... Apparently everyone on here has similar ideas as myself!:emoticon:logo

I don't agree with it, just as I don't believe in burning the American Flag or banning books from a library because you do not agree with them. The only things these types of actions do is incite the radical zealots.

I will never forget 9/11 and it still upsets me. My opinion is, you can feel and say what you want. The problem is that burning the Koran isn't much different than what they did. As Americans we should not engage in the same practices and ways as these "radicals". It makes us as bad as them in my opinion. I wouldn't just sit there and watch someone burn a Bible or an American flag and I don't think that they'll let a bunch of seemingly cult members burn their bible without some consiquence.

As has been said on here already....nope. How can we as Americans condemn the acts of burning a flag or bible, then go and do this to a Koran? It just opens the doors to them doing it back to us. I know it appears that no progress is ever made in bringing people togather but the good news is not what makes news. It is bad news that sells. The reporters center on the nut cases out there or the extremes and then try to sell it to the public. There is a group that was just started that is going to try and do that to the Tea Party group right here before the elections to make them appear like a bunch of nut cases. emoRolleyes Now days you just don't know what to believe on the news. Too many hands under the tables and reporters trying to get ratings. emoAngry When the Koran burning happens there will be some groups there from other countries that will take that back to get ratings where they are from and make is sound as if all Americans are behind this and doing it.

I can see no good coming out of this what so ever. emoMad Jmax

I just want to know where the liberals are to stand up for this guy's right to do this.

'Bout what I figured. They and their double standard are nowhere to be found.

Just because "they" do it doesn't make it OK for us to do the same thing. We are better than this. Should he be allowed to do this, absolutely. Is he WRONG to do it, absolutely. Just like they should be allowed to build the mosque near ground zero, but they shouldn't do it.

There is no question that the Dove World Outreach Centre (such a peaceful and Christ like sounding name),has the right to burn the Quran, just as the Westboro Baptist Church has the right to protest near a fallen soldiers funeral. The difference in this situation, and building a Mosque in Manhattan or Murfeesboro, TN, is that some are trying to deny them their Constitutional rights, thru intimidation and zoning laws. But the denial of those rights seems to be just fine by you. So tell me about that double standard thing again? emoScratch You seem to be the one with the double standard here, not those godless liberals.
