Hello everyone.

Here's the deal.

I would LOVE to find a great stream to wade that is shallow enough for me to walk and cover some ground. Main species I would prefer to catch is smallmouth bass.

I live in Nashville but hear the Caney Fork is amazing. Does anyone know of some good access points for me to park my car (without getting broken into) and go catch some smallies? I okay with driving a couple hours to get there.

Hope to hear from some of you! Thanks

Cane Creek Before it enters the Upper Caney Fork. To access. Go to Spencer, TN, East on Hwy 30 toward Fall Creek Falls. At the bottom of the Mountain a Bridge crosses Cane Creek, Turn Left at the bridge and drive along Farms that border the Creek. There are several approved pull offs. . Most all that Creek is wadeable. However there are plenty of deep holes that hold fish. The creek runs along the road for several Miles. Cane Creek is a TWRA stocked Trout stream. There are a wide variety of fish in Cane creek that may shock you. I hooked a Three foot Plus Musky on a Trout rod once. Abundant Bass population. Tip. Wear camo and keep a low profile. Those Bass are sharper at spotting you than the Turkeys. If you talk to the right people. Some of the land owners used to allow me to park near their home and cross their fields. This is a Most Gorgeous stream between the mountains.. Please No litter or culled Fishing Line. Keep it Like I left it.

Smith Fork Creek in Smith and Dekalb counties. It is 99 miles long. It is close to I-40. It runs into the Caney Fork River below Betty Island I don't know about any access points but am sure that there are some.

Thank you for the awesome info!

Exactly what I was looking for! I will post photos after a good catch.

Thanks again!
