Went out around 3 yesterday and for over an hour not a bite! I had to try out those chatter baits that Soddy Custom Bait and Tackle has. Never did get a fish on it!
But..ran out to the river just north of Soddy, theres a little slu there on the left. Started there and at every rock wall or formation I nailed a few bass on a Bandit crank. Consistantly I kept the boat in 12-15 feet of water and had my bites and catches in 6-8 feet.
Didnt really nail some real keepers but it sure was fun finally getting on the water in a dependable baot (knock on wood here) and not worry about anything except catching fish! 8 fish in 4 hours
