Hhhmmm, name somebody, then say if a game warden sees you. Whats up with that?</p>

If I was guessing.............I would say MadBomber was refering to throwing the heads of  a spot up on the bank after cleaning them , rather than throwing a live SPOT on the bank. The thread you were refering to was discussing using SPOT Heads for Cat Bait. From the time I have known MB, I would not think he would throw a live Spot on the bank just to discard it! I believe he cleans his fish at times out on the water after fishing..........</p>

Mr 3391, you obviously are touting something you know nothing of.... You obviously know NOTHING of Mr. Madbomber. He is as high integrity gentleman you may ever meet and would do NO such thing. He actually would be the guy who is doing what you are doing. How be it, he would have the class and treat you with much more respect and send you a PRIVATE message instead of posting a horseemoBadLanguage comment in a public forum such as you have today. Be a gentleman yourself and apologize....

<font size="2">  Spots on the bank reminds me of the time I stayed up too late, ate too much Mexican food, and the wife wanted one more round.

So far , this site has only been positive, there are some very nice people I would have never met. Never had an inkling someone would abuse our resources here. Nice to meet you 3391

<font color="#ff0033">Knowing 3391 as I do...he meant no harm to Madbomber......just a matter of miss cummunication..........please, don't be mean to 3391 he is a good guy....and before MB would do something stupid he would give them to someone on the bank or take um home to eat.....trust me, I know this.....FA</font>

I wasn't trying to be a dink, but I've been around and read Madbomber's posts long enough to know what kind of a guy he is - before I met him. Then when I met him, and briefly at that, but did listen to him at the map study, I immediately knew what kind of a guy he is. He is more like a teacher, preacher, etc... humble, wise and giving. Just really hit me wrong to hear someone say something like that and know that MB would be pretty hurt by it and probably never say a word. Sorry if I was harsh, but I stand by what I said. MB is a class act. The post, if intended as it was written, was classless. If he is a TWRA officer, he should know better. Because every TWRA officer I have met since being here is in the same category as MB and the professionals that I mentioned. I sure hope he will speak up.... Besides, hasn't he read his signature? He would rather eat 'em than throw them on the shore...

Not to make light of the laws..but, what if I catch a 6 inch spot and decided to fead it to one of the 50 million "starving" great blue herrons, that just happens to be stnding on the bank. Do I get in trouble then?

I can see what Greg , 3391, is refering too. The comment was made in that thread Cheez posted.</p>

Thanks for the heads up Greg and I apologize for those who may have not known the entire facts about why you made your post. In the future, it would be easier to post them in that original thread where you may have seen something that needed a legal reply. Maybe use the "quote" button to address it specifically.

You guys do a great job and were behind you 100% Thanks for being a part of CFF TWRA!</p>

Please accept my apology 3391, you ARE CORRECT! Madbomber did say just that. Never read this thread.... Here's the quote he's referring too.... But I agree with BBass' suggestion.

Yep, I did say that!</p>

here it is.</p>

"My dilemma has been what to do when I catch a 6" spot.  If I throw the little sucker back, it will just grow up and contribute to the problem.  So, if I want to reduce the spot population, it's just as profitable to eliminate a 6" spot as it is to take a 12" spot.  I like the bait idea.  I don't like to throw them up onto the bank, <u>but I have done that</u>."</p>

This discussion went way back to the very beginning a year and a half ago.  Someone made a comment about not getting into a "catch & Kill" mentality.</p>

I'm taking the comment by Greg as educational, rather than confrontational.  I appreciate TWRA's presence on the Forum.  </p>

Does the same law apply to Drum?  90% of the dead fish I see on the river are Drum. </p>

If you can't kill 'em..... EAT 'EM! Just make sure they're legal.
Let's not forget too that a 6 inch spot is also forage for larger game fish.... cats, bass, stripe.

I don't know how much impact the gill netters have on the drum, but when I have seen them emptying their nets there seem to be an awful lot of dead drum they just pitch back in the water.

I do feel compelled to make one last comment on this thread.  I am sorry for misleading so many people about my character.  Because now you know that instead of being a "Class Act", I am merely a wanton killer of spots.  It does sadden me that now I will forever be known as "Alan the spot killer".  Sorry Fat Al, I even had you fooled.  Even though we fished together a hundred times, you never caught me in the act!  Oh, well.  At least, now I know it's not only cruel and inhuman, it's also illegal.
