I took a trip below the dam this past weekend looking for some big brownfish but with the (new) high flows TVA was running it pushed the bait and bass out of their regular places and screwed us up. We salvaged the trip with the always popular in my boat Foley spoons and had fun catching some of the largest Skipjacks Ive seen and a few white bass and drum mixed in on the current breaks. It could be worse, Shawn could have fallen in.

Better days are right around the corner and Im looking forward to smashing some schooling fish on the spoons very soon.

Worst deer season ever Jim. Passed up some spikes and 4-points, never even shot a doe. It was pretty sad.

Hey Eric, very timely report. I was wondering what was going on at the dam. I am going to have to bum a ride with you sometime and you can give me some schooling in the "art" of fishing the foley spoon. I really like them too, but know you are the spoon master. Or even better you can jump in my little boat for a trip to the dam.
