Started fishing around 8 this morning and stayed 'til 4. We boated over 30 LM with 7 keepers and had a couple break us off. The best five would have weighed in around 14lbs. All fish were caught on shakey heads and a carolina rigged fluke in water depths of 3-10". The water temp was 65-72. No pigs today, but it was a lot of fun.

Great sounding day. I'll have to try that carolina rig with the fluke. Thanks for the report.

That was the ticket. We were catching some small LM on the tiny flukes with a steady bite. The bigger ones were on the big flukes, but with a slower bite.

No need in trying this technique, it really doesn't work at all. Neither will a c-rig hollow belly swimbait on a light wire hook. Don't waste your time............won't work..... emoEvil

I'd go with a 18-36" monofilament leader. Try different plastics other than a fluke, if they won't hit it, or even a crankbait c-rigged.

The caolina rig worked great. I wish i had tried it from the start of the day when the texas was'nt showing results. emoIdea
