with the high flows and lack of grass my main upriver pattern didn't develop again this year so we just went fishing. Headed upriver to my 4lbr hole and managed a half dozen keepers pretty quickly, unfortunately it has now been renamed the 2lbr hole. Had one better feeling fish on and of course dumped it. We also had a lot of fish slapping the rattlebaits with no hookups. Hindsight we probably should have spent more time there as the water warmed and waited for some better fish to move up. Headed to town creek, a bust with only one dink. Ran down to mink and outer goosepond and got in line at several grass humps and points with only one bite. Ran across the river to a grass point and got a 3.5 on the first pass. Made two more passes with nothing and with 20 minutes left to fish Jason starts ripping a jig as I stayed with the rattlebaits. Last pass across the point and Jason got another 3.5lbr. Wish we had started with the jigs earlier. All fish but that one came on xr and cc rattlebaits. Had a great time, nice chatting with all of you before and afterwards, congrats to all the big money winners, and thanks to dropshot, pointer, jmax and sponsors for a great tournament!

emoPoke I knew he would throw a jig sooner or later. It seems like no matter what the pattern Jason can pluck out some good fish with that dang jig! emoLaugh He's a good partner to fish with and a great jigger! Likewise, congrats to Carter and the rest of the money winners. emoParty
