Tellico canal smallies!!! 12-23-06

Got to go out on Tellico for about 3 hours this afternoon. Fished the canal and caught three smallmouth and one 22" walley. The smallmouth were about 15" and wouln't keep. Caught the smallmouth on floating fly. Walley on a Conton Cordell GAY BLADE. Took the walley home- Great evening snack!! Water temp was 47 degrees and no current. It was clear to slightly stained water. Visibility 2 foot.All of the smallmouth come off of brige pilings.

Good job tellico jim. I was wondering if anyone was on the walleye yet. Been wanting to go back to either Tellico or Hiwassee Lake in NC to try for a few.. Thanks for the report!
