He's a proven winner. 4 conference titles in 6 years. I understand it wasn't in the SEC but his system works if the players will just buy into it. I'm like you Shane, I haven't been this pumped about the vols in a long time. Butch will bring rocky top back to prominence! 39 days boys!

... but, he inherited everything at both schools. They weren't his players or his system. He just took it and ran with what he had after Kelly handed off the program and left each time. Now I can't say that I would have done any different. Probably not. But he is making waves out there recruiting and looking good!

Atleast he can't be any worse that Kiffen or Dooley. I am excited to see what happens in the upcoming years

Totally disagree with that statement... His worst year at Cincinnati was his first year where he went 4-8 then followed that up by going 10-3 and winning the conference title, and then 9-3 last year for a share of the conference title.

Yes, Butch Jones has really made a big impact in a short time. I don't think anyone expected TN would have the No. 1 recruiting class for 2014. I know that this changes daily but two top rating sites have UT No. 1 at the same time while VOL HATER ESPN has them No. 4 is pretty awesome.

This year will be a challenge for sure, but if we can become bowl eligible it would be a first step. Hope to see more effort, and much better execution this year. Neither quarterback was very impressive in the Orange and White game, and our receivers are not up to SEC standards. So I'm hoping for the best, and I'll be sitting in great seats at very low prices again this year to cheer them on. Vol For Life!

ESPN is not just a Vol hater. ESPN hates the SEC and I dont see it changing soon if ever. They want the Big 10 or Pac 10 to win the title every year. I would like to see Bama destroy Ohio State this year. I hope both teams go 12-0 and then one meeting will decide who the better team is. The SEC is piers ahead of the other conferences and they see it as "Old Fasion" football. They can call it whatever they want because old or not its still effective and tough to beat!
