(New Bass Club) Tennessee Valley Bass Club will be having a sign up at the Chickamauga Dam on Wednesday Sept. 16th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. If you are interested, orplan on fishing with us this up and coming year please make arrangements to be there. This is for EVERY new member including those that attended our meeting last Tuesday. We want to get everyone signed and voted in as a new member before the start of our season. You can look through the Post under (New Bass Club) for a quick summary of how things will work. We WILL have a COMPLETE schedule with ALL of our tournament dates and a list of our pay outs. We will be set up in the parking lot at the ramp. Look for us at the trailer. Yearly membership is $50.00 dollars. If you have any questions regarding our Bass Club please reply and we will do our best to get you an answer.

Thank you

WILL ALL THE TXS COUNT FOR POINTS OR CAN YOU DROP SOME OF THEM FOR THE GUYS WHO LIKE TO HUNT

How will your board determine if a prospective member meets the criteria for your club? Just curious when John Doe presents himself for membership at Chickamauga Dam September 16th will he have to submit a resume? And perhaps none of your seven board members know John Doe how can you fairly vote to determine if he/she is what your club is looking for? Since your board is going to vote I am really curious what will make a good club member? Is it someone that just started fishing? Someone that just got a new boat? Someone that has not ever fished a tournament? I have a good idea in the boards eyes what makes a good "club" member but many would like to know how your going to size up your prospective members. David/Brad good luck with the new trail I hope you guys find the members you are looking for.

People are measured up and gauged on what we know about them - if they have a past with other clubs then the way they have treated other memberships is considered. Not sure what you mean about the new boat thing - Or the never has fished before thing ??
Tennessee Valley Bass Club is a club that will have a open side that anyone can fish and then a club side that is designed for the Angler who wants to get in a club and devote themself to that club being there #1 priority, not just something to fish if you dont have nothing else to do.
We are looking for club members like that and hopefully out of 7 man board the correct selections will be made.
Greg - Thanks for your response and support.

That makes sense, good answer. David you and Rick are great team and awesome guys to compete with. Yall always add a little humor to any tournament you fish. I have known these guys for over 20 years, for all fishermen considering a enjoyable group to share the sport I recommend these guys. This will be a top notch deal based on the character of several guys I know involved with this club. Good luck to all of your board members and future members.

To my knowledge this is the best thing I've heard of for a winter time tournament that continues into next year, this would be a great way to meet new people who LOVE to fish year round. So why NOT let people who want to join and fish year round join? With this being a NEW club you would think everyone would at LEAST have a trial period so it could grow through the winter months.

has someone already been turned down or something? lot of questions about membership that seem to be dancing around something?

i thought the open format was a good idea seeing how anyone can fish!

We do have an open side that allows anyone to fish against the other open anglers plus those club members that want to sign up for the open side. All judgements and decisions voted on by the board are decided based on all knowledge that we have on the applicate. We hope that all are approved but that is not always the case. Tennessee Valley Bass Club looks at the whole picture and trys to judge things as fairly as possible. Thanks Buddy for your comments.

To answer all the questions, yes there has been a couple of teams that have already been turned down. We set the open tournaments up for this exact reason. This way everyone gets a chance to fish with us but, not everyone will get to compete for the points and the classic. We are doing our best to make everyone happy with out upsetting the loyal club members that show up and fish at every tournament.

But this is a NEW club so how is it fair to say who is loyal and who is not????????? Just asking thanks Buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buddy - This is a new club - The people in the club is not new. You are a friend of mine so it isnt easy to deliver the vote. I am sorry that the vote went this way but the things in the past have made them this way. Im sure that if you fish the open side for most of the year that you application may have a different vote for next year.
Thank You for your attempt to join and the good points you have raised.
David

Have you considered a sponsr program where any new prospects for membership are brought to a club meeting by one of the current members that know him. He introduces him to the club and the prospect tells a little about himself and why he wants to join and what his expectations are. All current members vote on whether to accept him or not and if voted in, he is on 6 months probation.

Just out of curiosity, what would be some of the reasons for turning down potential members?
