After this post and these tips my probelms were reduced 75%!

I think the key points were:

1. Close the bail with your hand, and pull some line out after the cast. This eliminates the dreaded loop!!
2. Do not overfill the spool.
3. Stretch the line.
4. Use some WD-40 on the line.

The one other product I will give my 100% money back guarantee on is the Shimano Symetre spinning reel. Shimano claims a huge reduction in line twist with this reel. I bought one and tried it!!! It is TRUE!! Used all of the new tips in 1-4 above, and with the Symetre had ZERO, ZIPPO, NADDA problems in a full day of casting a spinning rig. The 1-4 eliminated 75% of the problems. The Shimano Symetre eliminated the other 25%. I can now fish all day without one single foul up!!!

I bought a second Symetre for my other UL rod. Carl, Dago, Brad, and Ken have all tested my Symetre's in the past month. They ALL have now bought a Symetre or two!!

I have the Symetre 750 on the ultra lights, plan to upgrade the other rods as soon as...........................

I can convince Mrs. Jack that the kids dont really need any new clothes for summer!!! HAH!!!!emoLaugh

Fat al is that what you tell everyone instead of it being you cant make it back up to the house after walking to the mailbox. emoPoke

I've found out that cheaper reels also will twist line more. I guess it's because the bail isn't as smooth and round and always line twist. Occasionally you will have flatter spots in the line, so the rounder bail the better.
