Like used car dealers, they'll break one off in you given the chance. 5K for a 15YO boat that was less than 10K new. Probably gave the owner maybe $2500.00 max. https://chattanooga.craigslist.org/bod/6216757471.html

Didn't seem like a horrible price to me. I found several ones older than this one for much more.

The 1200.00 one is a fishing post. Their just trying to get your email address and sell it. In my expierance it's hard to find a bass tracker in good condition for under 4000

You need to look again. The seller said $6200.00, not $1200.00 + the ad shows a legible registration number, scams don't.

I much prefer buying used from a dealer
especially one that I have a several year relationship with and complete trust in

Yes I will pay a premium but if anything goes wrong when I get it, I expect that that dealer will take care of me
A large part of dealing for a new boat is the dealer.

That dealer knows that I will pay for the boat as well as pay him yearly for service and if I have any problems he will get my business
