Not a whole lot to talk about. We started off fishing a spot I found last week that was holding some pretty big fish. On the first cast hooked up with a small one. Thought to myself, this is gonna be fun, we'll I was wrong. We fished up and down the bank all the way from the aquarium to moccasin bend throwing every soft plastic we had in the boat, but all we could find were small ones. By around 12:50 we still didn't have a single keeper. Went to our last spot to try, just wanted to get it over with and get home so I could get warm. Fished soft plastic for around 15 minutes with no bites. Got aggravated so looked through my tackle compartment to see what else I had. Picked a jerkbait I've never had any luck with. About the 5th cast I hook up on a 2 1/2 lber. Thought to myself jerkbait at night, who would have known. Matt tied on one also and we commenced to catching fish for about 45 minutes straight. Caught all 3 of or keepers within 30 minutes. I have found my new favorite bait.....lol. We ended the day with 10.64lbs. Which gave us 4th place and won big fish with a largemouth that weighed 5.67lbs. Was a awful day weather wise but our last hour made it worth it.

If we could have just had 30 more minutes we could have been in the money...... It taught me a new technique though so I guess it was a good thing. I'm gonna have to use the jerkbait more often.

Jerk bait at night lol who would of thought good job/ was y'all winding like a crank or jerkin. I've had success. With both but never thrown at night. Always that it was a more visiable bait than noise

I was jerking it pretty hard. When the fish hit it, it would about pull the rod out of your hand. I never thought they would hit it at night neither that's why i didn't try it sooner.

My jerkbait has rattles in it also so i don't know it that helped out or not.

I've caught fish on a rattling rogue at night. Clown color works pretty good.
