Did not see or heard of much going on Saturday and was sitting dead steal in traffic here in Nashville and was wondering if there is any interest in fishing a tournament Saturday out of Harrison Bay State Park. Maybe 50.00 per boat with 10 of that going towards big fish. 3 fish limit!!! If there is respond in this thread and I will decide on Thursday if we will do it!

My question is why??? Why does their have to be another tournament. I like tournaments, but its just way out of hand at this point. Just because there isn't any scheduled doesn't mean we have to have one. Not pointing you out directly Tim, just in general really.

I agree , why? There doesn't have to be a tournament every day . Not being mean but it could use a break if that's what you want to call it

Everyone that bass fishes could start catching and eating 5 bass a day. Would you rather people do that ? People like tournament fishing why not have tournaments and fish tournaments while the lake is hot?

Why make another instead of just fishing the others that are already scheduled?

maybe folks dont want to drive up to different parts of the lake or support causes they may not affiliate with, maybe entry fees and "membership/registration" fees are issues, maybe they just want to do their own thing :)

guys fussing about "another tournament" really? are you also talking to the tournament organizations that are scheduling tournaments during the hottest months when delayed mortality is highest? are you also talking to TWRA about regulating tournaments better? those are the folks that REALLY make a difference.

IMO; What a great chance to fish a small get together (money run), when there are few folks on the lake. Last Sat was rediculous! Hundreds of boats, you couldn't even get on a spot! Besides, its an addiction, a hunger, a thirst to compete at a great sport! Come summer, its hard to even get out there and fish offshore with all the cruisers and the unbearable heat. Good time for the fish to recover. I say- get em now before they're on the beds. Abducting, transporting and handling of egg laden females should be restricted. Its stressful enough on the fish without human intervention. The bass open and flw costa will rip em all up! Spawning or not. Now is the time to smash a big bag of prespawners!

Guys, Girls, Children of all ages. I really did not put this on hear for alot of debates. If there is enough of interest, and at this point from the Private messages that I have received from folks wanting to do it but not posting it openly we will be having it Saturday morning out of HBSP. Entry fee will be 50.00 per boat with 10.00 of that going towards big fish. TWRA rules will apply and we will be doing the weigh-in right at the start of the parking area for the boat trailers. It will be a 3 fish limit. For those that want to fish I will be there around 5:30 for sign-ups. We will blast off at safe light and weigh-in will be at 3.
