With the crappie bite being slow the last few trips I decided to get out and see if the bass would cooperate. Fished Soddy Creek yesterday from 8 to 1. Caught a solid 4lber on about the 5th cast and thought it was going to be an awesome day. Managed to catch 6 fish altogether 3 keepers and 3 shorts. All on jerkbaits. No 2 fish on the same banks. Seemed to catch a fish within the first 5 casts on a new bank then nothing to follow. Water temp was 44.6. Got out this afternoon to see if the bite would be any better closer to dark. Started at CFP and was only able to foul hook a big threadfin in the tail. Fished about an hour and a half and decided to load the kayak back up and hop back over to Soddy Creek. Fished from 4 til dark and only scrounged up a catfish. Water was right at 46 at dark. Going to try somewhere else tomorrow but not sure where. If anyone sees the blue yak around stop and say hey!

Yeah I noticed that I was only catching a fish a bank on my last trip in my kayak a few days ago. I wonder why they aren't stacking up?

Went out today from daylight to 2 and caught one fish early on a crankbait. Fished cranks, jerkbaits, jigs, and shakeys with only 1 fish to show for it. Fished from 1 foot to 28 feet. Mainly rock banks with some wood mixed in. These Chickamauga winter bass are proving tough for me so far this year.
