I appreciate it, Randy.

I like to put in at Chester Frost as well. When you enter the park, on the left you'll come to the first pull-off road with a fountain nearby. I like to put in there because it's shallow which makes it easy to launch from land, it's away from the boat launch traffic and theres usually some grass where some bass like to hangout.

Putting in at the boat launch isn't terrible, just be cautious of the big guys. I like to give them right of way. Directly across the lake there are some docks. I've caught a few large mouth ranging 2.5# to 4#. There's an old man there that claims he has caught an 8 pounder right off his dock.

Good luck & be safe!

Thanks for that advice. I'm going to be picking up the Kayaks in a couple of weeks. If you're ever looking for someone to tag along drop me a line. Need to learn the area.

I will definitely do that, bud. I haven't had the chance to get out this year, unfortunately, ive been too busy renovating my "new" 97 year old home! Haha I'll let you know when I finally get on the water!

That looks awesome! I was thinking about doing it myself. I like the set up for sure.

Well hey, if there's anyway I can help, holler. I can take measurements, pictures, get you links to what I bought, etc. it was a fun project and it's really saying off!! I can fish farther than ever before!!

What are you guys powering these trolling motors with?

I'm using a size 24 Deep Cycle Marine battery from Wal-Mart for $79. Big and heavy but I'm still 100lbs shy of my load capacity for the yak. It's housed in a Minn Kota battery box. It's nice having the 60amp breaker built in as well as a 10amp for accessories.
