Trout below or above Chickamauga Dam

Does anyone or has anyone Target(ed) and been successful with catching Trout below or above Chickamauga Dam? If so how are you fishing for them and what are you using? there was a older gentleman I met one morning while fishing below the dam that told me he had caught (and had pictures) trout below and above the dam. I am skeptical but intrigued. if anyone can help a fellow fisherman out I would greatly appreciate it!! thanks again!!!

VERY VERY rare. Not worth targeting at those locations, Im talking 1-50,000 fish caught may be a (lost) trout.

That is interesting, I did not realize the water temp was cool enough all year to sustain a trout.

Hiwassee is a beautiful fishery! one of my favorite rivers! i have fished most of the trout streams from here to Nashvillle. The other river i have heard that is stocked with trout is the Little Sequatchie though i Have yet to fish that river yet. good fishing and

fished below the dam since the 60's and caught thousands of fish but never saw anyone with a trout.
