Here is one that my buddy whywecatchsomany caught on a recent trip.
If I can figure out how to do it. DHaun, I may need some help.

Lord I hope my buddy whenwegoin figures out how. We catch one of these about every 3-4 weeks and if he does not hurry he may have to post two at once. This is one picture I never get tired of looking at.

Polodog it's really not that big of a deal, but it is my personal best smallmouth of 6lbs 4 oz and a fish I am very proud of. It did everything a trophy smallmouth should and I did my part. Most fun I have ever had and for my best bud and fishing partner "whenwegoin" to do the net honors, made one of those lifetime memories. Its about time too, I have put the net under two in the past couple of years for him that were as big or bigger.

I'm still looking for a big smallie to take a picture of. That one sounds like a real hog. I hope that you can get the pic on here for us to see.

It was this past December 22. JerDog knows where we fished. We were fishing with jigs in the current along the rocks. I think we had one other smallmouth that day. The week prior we caught 8 with 4 of them over 4 lbs each.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!! Great smallie. I will catch a big one one of these days. I am going to target some of those in the next few months when I get some time off.

It was definitely cold, I think around 23 when we put in. I think the key to these big fish is the "conehead" hat. I caught 3 smallmouth weighing a total of almost 15 lbs. the week I wore the hat. Since then I have gone with the Nike Golf hat and have not boated a keeper. I've just got two questions: WHENWEGOIN? and WHYWECATCHSOMANY?

Nice brown fish i have been trying all winter to get one over 6lb in the boat closet has been 5lb 14oz. All I have been fishing is Nickajack.

I know Pointer, too warm, or at least it has been too warm lately to wear it. As soon as the weather got nice, the smallies stopped biting. It either needs to be cold or cloudy or both. They probably bit all day today.
