Does TVA maintain an actual physical map store at their main office complex downtown? That seems to be the address listed these days--just wondered if it was correct or not, and if I could just wander in on my lunch break sometime, or if that was likely to get me shot.

I'm looking for a lake map of lake Notteley, but haven't found one yet. TVA is the last resort, I suppose.

Yes. It's 2837 Hickory Valley Road, off Bonny Oaks Drive. A secret handshake is required. My brother works there. You can get anything you need there. They are very helpful. PH # 423-499-6285, 1-800-627-7882.

I made a call to them and the nice lady tald me to come down, knock 3 times, and profer the secret handshake...I got in and took a quick tour...they have loads of VERY cool maps.

They can tell you over the phone if they have maps of that lake.

They have a pretty interesting set of 10 maps of Chick (underwater topography) @ $10 each.

There is a sign on the door stating their hours but just call the lady if you're in the area she usually says "if I'm here, we're open."

Super Nice lady (Carolyn, I think).

I don't think that Nottley is a TVA lake. Here's a link to get a topo map of Nottley: http://www.lake-hartwell.com/TheLakeStore/Maps/a_maps.htm

The TVA map store is a great place to go if you like maps. They are much more expensive than they used to be but they are worth it.
