The CFF is a great org. I wouldn't miss it. Showing out well in it is about bragging rights. Any money is a nice bonus. And it's more personal than a big event as you get to make friends. In the CBA, It's mostly about accruing money towards the classic. I don't care about qualifying for the classic or buying my way in to it. I can't afford that. Plus I fish alone and its too expensive to fish 10 events and a 60.00 membership fee. If money weren't an issue I wouldn't care. Due to work and travel I could have only have made 5 or 6 events this year. IMO, It makes no sense at all to cut out the white card div. They pay the same entry like everyone else and account for 10% of the field and are already penalized for big fish of the year recognition, and cannot qualify for the classic. There's plenty of other tournaments I can now fish since I wont be spending my money in the CBA. Signing off of this thread and good luck to all.

I’m just a member, no actually I’m a sponsor. But compared to the money we spend on boats/ fishing, $60 isn’t even a drop in the bucket on the money we blow enjoying our hobby. But I am astonished at how upset you are, and how you have characterized the CBA and it’s members. You made comments about the “attitude” of the CBA members. I’m offended by your comments personally.

sounds like a heated argument here, I fish the costa tournaments as a pro, I am sponsored and thus considered a pro. I work a real job for 50-60 hours a week and fish when I can without interfering with my kids time and family time. I am not local but I visit the lake regularly every year. some of you know me and most don't but I do have a thought about this...Why bash them? just don't fish it if you do not like the format or the way they are doing things. It is each of our choice to fish what we want to fish. I do however think that the numbers in the other tournaments would be better if there wasn't 5 different organizations having 5 different tournaments on the same day every weekend. I ran into this in TX when I lived there and it eventually killed the little tournaments that I fished for the friendship and fellowship. I know it is not my place to comment on some of these things but I know some of the guys fishing CBA and there are some great guys in the group. I cant compete with them on their home lake but I would try every chance I get.

Glen asked that I delete this thread, but I wanted to put it here for a few days as a reminder that this is NOT what I want the CFF to become, where it is despised by some and worshipped by others. It's damn fishing. It's not life or death. It's fishing. Too often we overlook that this is supposed to be fun for all of us.

Reading a few of the comments shows the hypocrisy of several of the guys who fish this lake, including a fewwhohave openly bashed the CFF Trail in the past.
