We could possibly lock thru but are the locks open with the covid still going? I don't have any official info earl but when I was on the river two weeks ago I did not see any caution tape or barricades blocking the entrance to the ramp there. They still did not have a dock in place so I assume they're still working on repairs.

The RP was locked up today. I drove by there. Maybe CFP will be open soon. Otherwise the ramp bellow the Chick Dam behind Chatt State is open. I haven't put in there in years and don't know much more abut it now. It's about like the Lupton City ramp I think. Then we are back to Sullivan's or above the Dam next to Irwin Marine.

That ramp behind chat state is open and in good shape...buts its only a single lane and the parking lot is kind of small...I want to fish the river as much as everyone. After chatting with ken it may be easier just to swap some dates and fish chic out of the dam this time and swap another date to the river. Or we could go out of the dam on chic and allow people to lock thru...that way those that want to fish the river can

We should go with the dam for two reasons...1st I took a buddy of mine fishing for a few hrs sat night and CFP was a zoo. It would be much safer for us to go out of the dam and not have to deal with all the boat traffic in that narrow entrance to the park. 2nd the CBA is going out of CFP Saturday morning so they will have all of their stuff set up at the weight station Friday. I don't know if CFP is still enforcing all of its rules pertaining to tx's but we wouldn't have to worry about that either if we go out of the dam.

There is boat traffic every where. The dam ramp won’t be any less crowded. I’m good with either but prefer cfp. Has Patrick talk to them at Chester frost to see if we can even go out of there?

I agree there will be boat traffic everywhere. If we use the dam ramp the lake is wide open for us to work with on the blast off and we can avoid the choke points going out of CFP. Im good with either ramp just slightly concerned with safety during blast off between the CFP ramp and the main lake cause those pleasure boaters and especially the jet ski riders don't pay the best of attention to their surroundings.

I talked to Darlene at CFP this morning after sending a long email over the weekend. She is supposed to get back to me asap. Here is what I sent Saturday in an effort to appease HC officials after initially speaking with her last week:

I would like to petition to have our permits reinstated for our upcoming tournaments at Chester Frost Park. In addition, with the Chattanooga Riverpark closed, I would like to request the use of the ram on the evening of June 12 from the hours of 7pm to 2am so that we can relocate our tournament to the safety of the park.

As a much smaller and more diversified group than CBA, we pledge to use similar social distancing efforts used in the tournament they were allowed to hold on 5/30/2020.

Pre-Tournament Rules:
1. Please do your part and remain 6 feet apart from everyone except for your tournament partner prior to blast off.
2. Get your boat in the water as soon as possible and move away from the dock to the blast off area
3. Blastoff will be conducted normally. When your boat number is called idle by the dock with your live wells open, and it will be single file until you get to the mouth of Chester Frost

Weigh-in Rules:
1. Do not leave your boat until your boat # is called.
2. When your number is called. Have your fish in a weigh-in bag. One person brings the fish to weigh-in.
3. The angler that is weighing in the fish bring your fish up to the scale house.
4. Quickly get your boat secured and leave the park. DO NOT hang around the park once you have secured your boat.
7. The person that is weighing in fish for your team must have a Face Buff or Mask covering your nose and mouth once you get off the boat onto the dock, and continue wearing it until you are inside of your truck

Other items of consideration:

1. Having a tournament at night will greatly reduce the overall number of people, considering there will not be the boat and individual traffic that the park experiences on a Saturday afternoon.
2. In the case of the CFF, since our tournaments ends at 2am, there are no spectators. Normally the guys weigh their fish then rush home to go to bed.
3. For our night tournament we are now expecting less than 20 boats, which would be 40 or less individuals since a few guys fish alone.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Kind Regards,

Chester frost is now requiring permits, no more than 24 boats/trailers will be allowed to use the parking lot.

Enough of this. I fish these tourneys for the fun and the fellowship not to have to jump thru a dozen hoops just to participate and weigh my fish. I vote we go out of the dam. CFP can keep their ramp for the pleasure boaters which is what they want anyway
