I got the same letter Churly did back, in fact they sent a bulk letter including both of us which I thought was a little odd, but acknowledgement is the key. I also just got another email from Bobby Wilson who is the chief fisheries biologist. All of the attention is going to make sure they at least address this and if we continue toe fight, we can get this done.
Here is the email I just got from him:
Thank you for sharing your comments about fishing in Tennessee. Your comments will be shared with TWRA’s fisheries managers and the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission (TFWC).
After review of public comments and fisheries monitoring data, fisheries biologists will propose any needed changes. These TWRA proposals will be presented to the TFWC at their August meeting. TWRA will then request public comments on those specific proposals (or lack thereof) between the August and October TFWC meetings. Again the comments will be shared with the TFWC, and they will vote on changes at their October meeting. Any new fishing regulations would take effect on March 1, 2016.
Thank you for participating in this process, and good luck fishing this spring.
Sincerely,
Bobby Wilson
