Vintage boat restoration project!

Another big part of this project is fixing up the trailer for the boat. One of the biggest problems is the axle isn't sealed so I have to be very careful about getting it submerged. The trailer can fold up to drop to boat off, but its kind of a pain and is an awkward way to get the boat in and out of the water. Any suggestions on how to get a cheap axle replacement so I can launch this thing in the water like your supposed to??
