Wal-Mart Batteries

I gave up on Walmart trolling motor (deep cycle) batteries, they're junk. A while back some people on the CFF made good comments about Duralast batteries, so that's what I'm using now.

I'm still running my optima blemish batteries at 80.00 each this is the third year no problems and my van batteries are 3 years old also. I own 7 optimas and they are still going strong.

Where you get the Optima blems????

A friend of mine in Ringgold Ga sells them he used to get new ones for 100.00 I will have to check and see if he can still get the new ones. I'm a locksmith so these batteries work well in my business but I have them in all my vehicles and boat.HIs name is Dirk Carter 423-667-0008

I use the Duralast they are made by Johnson Controls. Excellent batteries! O'reilly's batteries are also made by Johnson controls and are good. Wal-Mart changes suppliers like we change our underwear, no telling what your getting. I believe Sears batteries are also made by Johnson, while alot of the other are made by GNB. I have had nothing but good luck with the Duralast brand, and i will stick with them.

I put Three Max-X 29 Series Dual purpose marine batteries in My Proline in January of 2006. Just last week I turned in one that would not hold a full charge. Do the math - 75 bucks for over 5 yrs. Pretty darn Magnificent. Since they are only $75.00 for that big old powerhouse, I went ahead and bought a second so as to have a matching set on my 24 V trolling system. I am still pleased to say My third battery is doing great. I was guilty of allowing my boat to sit in storage for way too long allowing the batters to dwindle down. Therefore I do not feel that I was cheated by running with Wally.
