REELWORLD42 - 3/27/2018 7:43 AM I think they are trying to control/kill the grass. no water no grass.
lol, You should request to add this to wikipedia for Chickamauga Lake. From what it says everything is about the same as always! Here you go-----

Full pool for Chickamauga lake is 682 feet (208m) above sea level; the current lake level can be checkedhere. The normal operating zone is between 675ft (206m) and 677ft (206m) through the end of March, rising steadily to a summer range of 681.5 to 682.5ft (207.7 to 208.0m) by the middle of May. Then, full pool is maintained through the end of August, at which time the level drops steadily back down to 676ft (206m) by the end of November. ------Actual lake levels vary due to weather conditions and power needs.-------

Never in my life haveI seen the water level below 676unless there was a tremendous amount of rain in the forecast or work needed to be done. the water level use to be at summer pool by April that all changed about the same time the grassstarted growingback, now thewater leveldoes not reachsummer level untilMay 15.On Guntersville there is only a two foot difference between winter and summer pool onthe operating guideand its at summer level by April 15in my opinionthat's whyGuntersville has a lot more grass

Wow it is low. I just drove by on 58 and looked at where I fish off the bank from time to time and was looking at the bottom I have never seen there. But I thought I heard back in the fall or read it that they were going to be dropping the lake from time to time REALLY low to work on the lock at Chick dam.

I fished Cherokee on 3/27 and that website for that lake was off by over 7ft for some reason. I’ve used it many times in the past but after that I don’t know if I fully trust it anymore. I had to zoom all the way in on my Helix lakemaster map and adjust the water offset as I crossed contour lines to make sure my maps and depth readings matched. That way I was navigating more accurately. That site is a great reference though as it’s been historically accurate for the most part.

I do this almost every time I go out especially below the dam
