Fished a club tournament and did not do well. Since I’m not very good offshore, I went for the fish that summer shallow and wasn’t able to produce much. Caught a few shorts and a keeper in the morning on a senko. Lost a big one against an old dock in grass. Then she took the bait again and I lost her again. Sigh.

My friend caught a few in a grass flat with a chatterbait near the main lake later in the day, also one keeper. It was beautiful, and hot. Saw a few elites out on the main lake at a well known flat. Main lake was where our tournament was won as well.

I hear it’s tough for most everyone lately but glad you got to go. Due to my wife falling and breaking her hip and shoulder requiring both to be replaced I’m stuck home for several weeks and can’t fish. So, it can always be worse! Thank God she will eventually be ok.
