So now they say there is no "natural control" of milfoil and hydrilla but back in the late 80s and early 90s they claim it WAS THE NATURAL INCREASED FLOW DUE TO RAINS AT TIMES AND NOT THE CHEMICALS THEY POISONED EVERYTHING WITH. Them speakum manure again to us. Sad that many will eat whatever they dish up.
 
When mats begin decomposing in the fall the DO may decrease, but not enough to cause a major kill in the flowing river here. When the mats are green, photosynthesis is occurring and releasing oxygen.

Had a TWRA officer come to our bass club meeting back then and preach that exact sermon. It was BS then and it's probably a revised/updated version of BS now. Watts Bar and Melton Hill were decimated and have only recovered somewhat in recent years. Evidently the partial recovery is the signal that it's time to spray again...... emoBang
