I guess it's old photo "thread" week and I've moved upstream from HBSP to Watts Bar above and below the dam. The geyser in the pics is the exhaust in the water from the Watts Bar Steam Plant. The fisherman that caught the almost "prehistoric" looking drum is from Hixson. The geyser was an excellent place to fish. My dad and I often took advantage of the $2.00 a day boat rentals to fish the lake in the mid 60's. Good times - for sure.

The photo of the vee bottoms, slat seats, bring back memories of fishing with my Dad and Granddad in his vee bottom. Been a long time ago.

Very cool pics. I remember very well growing up and taking long wknd trips to pete smiths resort to fish with my father...playing shuffleboard and eating the giant oatmeal cookies that the served at the diner counter.

Thanks again for the old pics. Those are nice. That rock formation was neat. Does anyone know the location on the lake?
Rhea county side, about 75 yards upstream of the dam
