Even though I have been fishing and running my tournaments through the winter my season is coming to an end Feb 7th.....BUT then I must get ready for the new season just 3 weeks away after that.I have upgraded 2 rods and reels for this year.I sat down yesterday and went through all my tackle in my boat and taken out anything that I just dont use and added very few things that I might need.I still have to oil all my reels and purchase a couple of spools of line.I made sure my net is still in good shape and all of my culling floats.I make sure that I have 3 pairs of sunglasses( 1 for me ,1 for my partner if he forgets his ,and 1 if a pair gets broken or takes a swim)I also carry a bundle of cloth white towels for wiping off my hands or face or wiping out my seats.Spray on sunscreen.I know my batteries are good because I just topped off the cells and I replaced them last year.I am planning in the next two weeks to do a full service on my engine(warranty runs out next month,YIKES).Last but not least no rest for the wicked.I will be practicing for my tournament feb.7th and then just expand the next couple of weekends for the CBA.

Follow You and Davo around. :)

I have a ton to do...clean reels, maintenance on boat..new line, buy some more baits and get out there this weekend! basically, all of the above in your post.

Glad your fishing with us in CBA Damon! See you there.

I am doing similar stuff. Upgrading rods, all Curado reels now, bulk spools of line. I am almost done cleaning and re-arranging my boat. Going to be making some new jigs. Replacing trolling batteries with bigger and better ones (cabelas agm). Will probably start practicing in a couple of weeks.

Looking for a job so I can finish my boat , buy gas for my boat, keep a roof over my head so I can have somewhere to sleep, and pay TX fees, so I can take your money emoLaugh emoLaugh emoLaugh emoPoke emoPoke

Purchased fluorocarbon in bulk because I'll be using it alot more this year, having Skeeter clean and repair some reels, added some new swimbaits, and changing treble hooks on about half of my cranks. I use my boat through the winter so there's no cleaning it right now.

Money, doctors bills are piling up ( as usual). Was hoping to have a little extra to be able to fish more than just the CFF trail. Not looking promising.

With the new baby I have had a little down time on the weekends. I pretty much did everything you spoke of above. I actually took my boat to the water and run her around a bit before the clouds moved back in, everything ran fine. I'm ready as I could be, just waiting on a green light from Momma and decent weather on the weekend.

I think putting it all down to go hunting for a few months is healthy, and keeps me from getting burned out, but it makes finding your first pattern a challenge. I've had my best deer season and a healthy baby daughter, I'd be selfish to ask the good lord for any luck this year!!

Glad to see your gonna do CBA this year, it'll be a great season! Good Luck to all!

I have done the same things.I have replaced all the rods except for one.All reels as well.Batteries were replaced. All pumps replaced and upgraded to 800GPH.New flowrite valve installed in the well. All tackle organized and ready.New water pump and hub for the prop. All electrical connection cleaned up at the batteries. All I have left is the trolling motor and new electronics.I will be fishing any chance I have.Oh yeah.I ahve to repalce the bearings and seals on the trailer.Bring it on!!!
