It looks like the weather won't be as good as we had hoped. The water temp might be a bit lower. If it were me I'd target off shore structure in the creeks or creek channel swings. If the temp is in the low 50's the shallows might produce, otherwise I wouldn't spend all my time trying to beat them with a trap. There are some good looking areas that are off shore in most of those creeks that should hold staging bass, mammas. I hope that someone finally breaks the 20lb barrier soon at one of our tournaments. I don't think that it's been done yet has it?

Come fish it Polo and show us how its done since it seems so easy!

It just goes to show how little I've been able to keep up with the CFF tournaments. I hope to keep up better one of these days. I would never say that G'ville is easy. I have done poorly many times there and in most of the lakes I fish for bass. I have been doing better though but I tend to fish for the species that is easy at the time of the year that I'm fishing. Bass may be easy soon but I would expect that the water temp will be cool for this tournament. I'm just thinking that "fast fishing" with the water temp below 50 will be a tough way to go and finding smaller areas to fish thoroughly for staging females might be the best way to get a good sack of fish. I like "trap fishin'" when the situation is right but it may not be right for this tournement this year.

I like to fish in flip flops and shorts too but I don't think that I'd try it with the forecast.

Today was a Trap in 2 to 4 feet, a Trap in 2 to 6 feet, a trap in shallow flats and a trap in shallow grass areas.emoWorthy emoApplause emoApplause I could not believe they all are saying the same thing.emoDance I know with the weather coming for tomorrow and Friday that may all change but it was sure good to see some kind of consistency in the reports posted today by all who did post. We may hit this one just right.emoAngler Jmax
