What kind of unit is this?

This was a screen capture from my Humminbird 1198c but any Humminbird SI unit can show this the 798c, 898c, 998c or 1198c.

I use the Humminbird Product. Any of the Humminbird SI units can do the same thing and so the same structure but the difference in screen size makes it easier to view on the water. I love the 1198c because it has a huge screen and makes it easy to quickly recognize and see the smaller data like fish. To me finding the fish especially singles which are normally the biggest fish is a huge key. With that Humminbird has some uniques features that make that easier. Like SI Enhance, Ability for the user to adjust scroll speed to help look inside the structure like finding fish in trees and brush piles I can adjust the scroll speed to make them easier to find. Also the 455Khz and 180° of coverage give you more coverage area to the sides where you normally cast and are looking for fish so that is more important to me than the 800kHz which is more down focused and only 110° of coverage.

I recommend taking a test ride and finding the best unit for you.

I have seen that same thing before. I figured out that it was an alien landing strip .

This was extremely helpful. I do have one question though. Is your unit mounted at the drivers console so you can idle around looking for fish or is it mounted up front and you use it while fishing? Just curious thanks

I actual run Humminbird Side Imaging at both locations. I have an 1198c at the console with transom mounted transducer and the 998c at the bow with Trolling Motor mounted transducer.

These images are from the 1198c at the Console and where captured while idling out of the marina cove at Take Off in the BASS Open on the Arkansas River in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
