its been my experience that certain parts of lakes produce the larger fish, the lower end of lake wylie is known for the bigger fish, while the river on lake norman is where the bigger lms live, same for ky lake the new Johnsonville area is where many go to hunt a stud.

would you guys say that more "bigs" are captured above or below the plant?

all those are above the plant.................

Im hoping guys will understand I don't want or care for gps coordinates, creek names or any other specifics. if you've caught a double digit fish, was it below or above the nuclear power plant?

I've gotten 4 double digit bass and 2 different clients that have caught double digit bass . All have been below the nuclear plant .

I think that they are spread out fairly evenly across the lake. But my point is that the FL largemouths have made a migration, or traveled over 30 miles in a live well. I know of double digit fish caught in every creek from Richland Down. Ive caught one above and and one below the plant.

maybe they wont talk but there is usually a consensus amongst local sticks and big fish hunters which end of the lake yields the most big fish. if you could do anonymous poll of everyone who has caught a double digit fish on the lake you might see a trend.

There is more tournaments and dogfights on the lower end I would imagine. More tournaments and dogfights means more fishing is going on in that area as well as more releasing!

I believe another major factor would be where the biggest and best spawning areas would be . Those areas would hold better numbers of the big females for obvious reasons.

Year before last a couple of High school kids I know caught two double digit bass up Hiawassi river on the same spot within minutes of each other. My only double from chick was way below the power plant.

I've only seen 2 be caught one 12 and one 11 both were above the power plant way above actually above richland creek

i have caught a 10.3 , a 11lb. and a 12.2lb from the bank in cfp and thats below the plant have caught some good fish and good smallmouth in soddy creek but most of my big fish have come below plant

Over the last 7 years I would say that More have come from below the plant. But there are a ton above also! Like Churly said they come out of every creek. Soddy, Sale,Grass,Richland,Eldridge,Possum have all put out there fair share of 10 plus lb fish. The Hiwassee doesn't have as many as the TN for sure. Honestly, if I was looking for a double digit fish I would stay on the TN and I would fish between Soddy and the dam going South. And The CBA stocks Chester Frost with probably 200 keepers every time they hold a TX.
