I would like to see how much $ is involved.

Bill

Not sure what you are asking but first on the CFFs is $300.00. If more enter they just pay out more places. The CFFs for several years now has not been a high dollar paying tournament. It use to be $200 for first but I believe for the last two years it was upped to $300. With a three fish weigh in you also have a three big fish pay out. Biggest spot, biggest smallmouth and biggest largemouth. With that divided out three ways it is usually not more then about 50 bucks max for each. Often less. With the win and big bass you might walk away with about $350.00 in you pocket. Is that what you are wanting to know? emoScratch Jmax

That's what I wanted to know Jim. I thought only 3 places were paid each TX no matter how many boats show up.

Nope, they have a chart they go by. On it there is a payout scale of how many dollars per place per the number of boats. I have seen it and looked at it. I would say if your interested they would probably let you see it. I just peaked over Patrick's shoulder. emoLaugh As with any tournament group the numbers who show up declines as the year progresses. At the beginning you will see more places. Towards the end you will see more like three places paid usually. Jmax

When will they announce what boat ramp they are going out of?

I will guess the HBSP. ;) Chester Frost is out. There is a large High School tournament going out of Chester and they already have Chester Park reserved. I guess it could be out of Dam Sight Park but that will be a cold ride up river. Jmax

Ok, for a Whitwell boy who has not fished the Chick, HBSP, is that Harrison Bay State Park? And since I already am showing my knowledge, River Park: ramp below the Chick Dam?

Yes and Yes. Riverpark is actually the Nick. However to keep it from being confusing the committee will usually say Riverpark when the plan is to launch below the dam. They will say Nick when it is the mid to lower ramps they are considering. Like Sullivan's which is about the mid way point between the two dams, then Marion and Hail Town which is near the highway bridge and then finally you have Shell Mound at the Nick dam. You cannot lock through on a CFF so even when you launch by a dam you still have to stay on that side. emoGeezer Jmax

Ok, knew all the lower Nick stuff and on down to Guntersville. Just was not clear on Riverpark and on North on the Chick. Southern boy, most northern ramp ever been on is Suck Creek.

I just looked at schedule and this year mite be the best out of all the dates. Now if only someone can put me on some fish I mite have to come donate. Lol really out of all the tournaments I fished this is by far is the most fun. Great bunch of guys .. Real jokers I tell ya. Lol got to watch out for Earl though. And even oldman mite pull a fast one on you.. Looking forward to fishing more this year. Just can't get used to this grass after all my life kneeling and reeling. I
Miss the old days of catching them every cast and even 2 at a time on a crank. Now it's frogs and rats. Amazing how fast the lake has changed in the last 10 years.
