Who wants this forum done away with?

I would like to cast my vote to get rid of this political forum, who else? This forum is no good, never has been, all it leads to is hard feeings between members, it is tearing down this fishing forum, we have somewhere around 4000 members with just a small handful who post, ever wonder why? If you want this fishing forum to grow, get rid of the political forum, if you want this fishing forum to get worse, keep the political forum.

Political opinions don't upset me. People have their opinions, but they're not changing mine. When it comes to politics, you can't have your emotions on your sleave. Read or discuss opinions, but leave your feelings out of it. I guess closing this discusion will be up to the CFF moderators, but I like to see where others are coming from.

yea im same way ill read it from time to time but never post but i see some serious name calling and some idiot responses just to make controversy .. this is a fishing site i think its better off without this forum but thats just my view

Why do those who wish to do away with the forum keep posting on it? I would think the best way to get rid of an individual forum would be to reduce the posts to it.

If you need to vent to someone about politics, go here http://www.chattanoogaforum.net/ and click on "hardcore news and politics". If everyone wants this section killed, then stop posting or even reading anything in it. Don't blame the administrators for the direction that this thing has taken, or for its existence; just stop clicking on it!

ETF recently dropped the Politics there and I find it to be a great improvement. There are a ton of political blogs and discussions out there and I don't talk fishing on any of them.

The administrators are the ones that started this forum, it was a no no over a year a go but someone wanted to get their jollies about bashing democrats which are about 1% of the membersso they put it on. It serves no purpose at all except causing hard feelings. Someone still loves it because it is still here. No good at all has ever come out of it and it never will.</p>

Everyone that knows me knows I'm a republican. I am new to the forum and have read a little about this political forum. It doesn't bother me one bit to read a democrats response and I definately won't harbor any grudges against another person for telling me their opinion. I actually don't mind the politcal forum and think its a good idea.

Does not matter to me if we keep it or not. From what I understand from others, this Political Forum was pushed for by just a few members, who immediately turned it into an Obama bashing outlet. I guess some didn't count on the other side coming back at them. I would prefer to discuss Ideas, and solutions to our nation's problems, but sometimes have to get down in the mud with some of you. I try to keep myself informed on political issues and American History in general, and expect that the ones I debate/discuss with, have done the same. I have met several of the posters in this forum and believe that they are good people and want what's best for our country, and enjoy going back and forth with them on issues. But some in here are complete idiots and understand nothing other what talk radio and the internet tells them. CFF is about fishing, and our love of it. Maybe the admins could set the politcal forum up something like the cff trail........ for every fishing report you post.... you get a post in the political forum. I could live with that.
