It was put here because others posted political opinions and tried to fire up debates in Off Topics. We had to stay on the ball and keep deleting threads. Deleting threads or post, pisses people off but they couldn't follow off topic rules.

My opinion doesn't mean a thing here but I'll say it anyways. I think most Obama supporters or Democrats are just ticked off due to all the downgrading threads or post on this administration. Some many say its the only reason it was put here. Wrong! If it was here during the Bush era, you would have seen many MANY people bitching about that Administration. Republicans and Democrats!

For the record, I care nothing for this area of CFF. It doesn't help me one bit catch fish or learn new techniques. If we deleted it, I'm ALL FOR THAT but people will still continue to post. Either we have place to keep those discussions or we go back to a NO Tolerance Rule for Political Post, Threads, and Replies.

And you know better than anyone, that was a royl pain in the arse trying to stay on top of every single Off Topic thread to see who was pushing the limits. We cant have it both ways, and as a GROUP this was determined to be the best solution.

I'm pretty sure the majority of the CFF "Group" wants this done away with. Your group of 4 or 5 are the ones that disagree.

I agree yet the number of 4-5 is pretty low.

SpurHunter - 2/28/2010 10:00 AM Not sure whats so hard here, you are also welcome to stop looking at and posting in this forum. We all know rules and laws are made for the minority, not majority. There were a couple people that just couldn't stop making political slaps in off topic, so we were sick of deleting them. Now they have a place to air their thoughts, and they are complaining?

What would be so hard aboutdeleting the political forum, putting the word frozen in it's place withthe rule that there will not be any political posting whatsoever, anywhereand rule breakers will be barred from the site? Pretty simple to me. maybe a few thousand of the members will come back and start posting again and get this forum back on top instead of in the gutter. What have you got to lose? You have plenty to gain if you want it back on top, plenty to lose if it stays in the gutter. If David Haun could do it by himself, first light as big as they are can do it with all their moderators and administrators.

Possibly my first post on this forum. I don't know how many of you listen to our talk radio station but, they have this thing called the bite line. You can call in and leave any comment you want on a recording and they play it back on thursdays.
A huge amount of opinions are how much they can't stand a host or the station or different aspects of the programming.
I have the same reaction to them as I do the people that hate this political forum. Ignore it if you can't stand it!

beetlespin - 2/28/2010 2:38 PM Who is it that's not posting that you want to come back?

I would like to get the CFF back to what it used to be, no problems, there are many people that do not get on the cff just because of the political forum, if it was gone these people would eventually come back. Why is it that people want to keep something this is full of controversy that does no good at all, creates division? Show me one thing that is good by keeping the political forum. If you look around, you have over 4000 members and you have around a dozen who post, where are these people, talk to your fishing buddies and ask them why they aren't on here?

I guess they get tired of one or two whining. Put on some warm clothes and fishing and gwt over it. You will then be able too post in the fishing report section and not political. See there its simple!!

Wait a minute... Why would one of the main posters, with well over several hundred posts on the political forum want it taken away? Doc1, you have also started at least 12 new threads on the political forum.

If someone is so immature that they will not post on a large forum due to one sub-forum, are they really needed?

The CFF was started with "fishing" in mind. I've been a member here long before any of the current administrators were even members and we never had the amount of arguing and bickering that can be found on this particular forum. You guys should start your own political forum and leave the arguing and crying to a "fishing" related topic. This was the gayest topic for a forum on the CFF ever, and I said it when yall started it.

No way churly. There have been much gayer threads on cff! This thread is just average run of the mill cff gay. The "who from cff have you fished with" and "let's thank our mods and admins" threads are certified cff extreme super gay.

How about the "Nickajack Mafia thread? It lasted probably a year or more and was the gayest thing I ever saw on any forum. Or maybe one of the TX threads that went on about 6 pages about somebody getting cheated at a weigh in. Now that there is real useful to the CFF right there.

WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT FOR SOME OF YOU WHO DON'T LIKE THIS AREA TO STAY OFF OF IT? NOBODY FORCED ANY OF YOU TO CLICK ON THIS AREA! DANG!!!!!

I agree with Cheez's statement. I read this forum occasionally out of boredom. It's my fault if I'm angered by something as I don't have to read it.

Gramps 1 is just pissed off because a lot of people despise the socialist turd he helped put in the white house. He either needs to get over it or take up knitting.
