Doc1 - 2/6/2008 4:19 PM Spurhunter with out any doubt, he is the only one I have ever heard of on here who has caught one of the highly sought after, high dollar lawn chairs and he returned it to it's rightful enviorment, minus the miller lite can sitting beside it on the dock.

Doc, that's pretty funny right there....he may have set a world record on the catch.....LOL ...FA

I can promise this..and Davo with definitely vouch for me, There is know one on this Earth that can hang with me on Yellow Bass!!!!emoLaugh emoLaugh

that is a hard question, but as far as tx fishing goes i would have to say rogie brown than carl reed, with a few others right their with them including that xroadsbasser and wormhook, they seem to be on the fish all the time.but if i had to pick only 1 bass fisherman i would say mr.brown.

I too (if he has the time to be on the water) would say Roggie. But the thread says all around fishermen.

Not to say that Roggie couldn't do that too. I for one just haven't fished with or aganst him for all the other species.

DHaun has certainly put some fish on the screen to make you go WOW... No one said 2jigs? I mean, look at the posts in the last 6 to 8 mos. He's always showing us some fish and not no babies either!!! And it does NOT matter what the weather is. He's out there and haulin' in weight.
PaperGod has got it going on. He can catch fish in a toilet it seems.

Bill Brown. I've fished with him with live bait and artificial. He puts in the boat slabs, HUGE spots, fat smallies, really fat cats, bream like a cake plate. Whatever you are wanting to fish for, he can throw some really nice fish on the deck.

If it were live bait.... Berry Fraley. Bigfishguide. He's a hawg hunter. Has a little black book that keeps him on 'em and I'm trying to get a scholarship to ride in his boat.
Blazer, I would have said you, but I've been skunked the last two times in your boat. You lost some serious technical points with that!!!!emoPoke Let's just say Blazer has shown me every spot on the lower Nick where fish DON'T bite. emoBooHoo

I'm not much to brag about but ,i do very well myself. I have seen the ole Wormhooks and his partners scales over the years but to e totally honest I think the best ever would have to be "THE CARL REED" an that is my .02 cents worth. emoHijack "I"M SORRY" but this thread should have been titled " THE CARL REED ERROR".

If he only entered more tourneys then this "QUESTION?"(WHOS THE BEST) would have never surfaced! SORRY WORMHOOK but that's my.02

I fished against Fishhead (Joe) and Beetlespin (Lance) for several years in MSBM and have a great deal of respect for their skills and consider them both to be top notch anglers. Fishing with Lance is what finally pushed me over the edge and power fish a little more than I used to. Another friend I consider to be very good is Joe Pickett, who spent a lot of time helping me become a better fisherman and boater and is very versatile on the water.

I guess I am also a little partial but have always considered my Dad to be very good. He rarely ever fishes a tournament anymore, but when I was a kid he had the skills to catch whatever type of fish he wanted from bluegill to catfish to crappie to bass.

I have always been a believer that time on the water = better fisherman. Just like other sports it seems some people do not have to practice as much as others.

I think what you may need to ask is who is the best fisherman at specific techniques...dropshot, texas-rig, carolina rig, crankbait, spinnerbait, jig, spoon, topwater, senko, river, lake, etc...
