Why I chose a Ranger Z119c.

I again want to thank everyone for the input to my other post. I even want to thank you guys who said I needed to go with some other brand like the Bullets or the Phoenixs. I know that in today's market of boats the Ranger is not as fast as many of the boats out there. At my age I guess I have passed the race to the hole program, I will be fine coming in to the area later if I decide to fish that spot. If you are looking to race someone to a hole the Ranger day in and day out will not win getting there compared to many. However as far as fishing I have been and still continue to be impressed with the products of what Ranger seems to come out with year after year. The Z119c rides very well at a good speed of around 70 mph even with a full load. I have never caught a bass going 60 mph so I am sure that will be enough for me. ;) The wide decks, comfort and fish-ability is by far one of the best out there today. As far as helping you the Ranger folks go above and beyond. I have toured the Ranger plant. I was treated like some kind of VP. They let you see right there at the plant the complete makings of how the boats are built, made, designed and anything else you want to know. emoWorthy Here is a little video I found about the Z119c I will be getting to share with anyone else who may enjoy it. emoThumbsup

I think you made a good choice . There are a lot of good boats out there but I like Ranger. I don't tx fish so speeds not an issue, 70gps is fast enough for me. Most of the time 40/45 . Have Fun
 
It's a great rig. I really like that size boat. They ride and fish great and are plenty fast. Hope the "black" motor treats you well and that you can enjoy it for a LONG time!
 
JMax I bought my Ranger almost 2 years ago, and the one thing I tell everyone that asks is that I knew I was gonna like the boat but had no idea I would love fishing my boat as much as I do. My boat isn't going to win any races either but when it gets a little bumpy on the water I am going to win every race. I don't think in the two years I have been fishing my boat that someone has passed me to beat me to a spot I was going.
 
I will also vouch for Shane's boat, love it, love it. Really a nice ride. emoWorthy Jmax

I do not know, he thought it should come with a boat cover. When he found out it did not he said he wanted it to be added at no additional cost to him and he would buy it. She did not agree, they have been at it since. Last night he was still pretty hot about it and had about changed his mind. :eek: She told him she could not believe he was going to pass the deal over a boat cover...his reply...He could not believe she was not going to sell that boat over a boat cover. emoLaugh Jmax
 
I told him that I agree. I cannot believe that she would loose a sell over a boat cover. Especially since she would be getting it at cost. Not like he is asking a individual to buy one and add it. I figured she would add it to get a sell.
 
All is good, Derek called me all excited, he is getting it today. He said, "at lunch", so he may already be there. He is like some kid on Christmas morning, all excited and ready to use his new toys. emoAngel

I hope I got this right, he is buying a Skeeter ZX 190, he got it from Boats and Motors of Dalton. emoThumbsup We will have the boat at the CBA classic this weekend and anyone wanting to look it over can see it then. Way to go Mr. Derek. emoToast Jmax

Shane stuck one with only a few minutes to go in the Big Bass Splash this year, up on plane and never lifted until we got to weigh in, we ran through some nasty rough stuff that I was for sure going to hurt, but that Ranger handled them all like butter. Craziest bass boat ride either of us have been on and that thing handled awesome. Only other boat I'd buy besides the ole Skeet Skeet.
 
No, Derek told me he wanted a GA Bulldog boat. emoPoke We need to get him a couple Bulldog stickers to put on it. I swear it is just like some GA Bulldog promo boat. Derek just loves the Bulldogs and after loosing his bet to Dusty Elrod the last CBA he has to wear a GA Bulldog shirt in the up coming CBA Classic both days. It will match and go perfect with his GA Bulldog boat, same colors and everything. emoEvil I also think it is a great looking Razorback boat too, I am going to wear my Razorback hoodie so I can match his boat too. emoTongue Jmax
 
Congrats Jmax and Derek on the new rides emoThumbsup emoTongue . I'm very happy for you both and think you both made wise choices. Today with the quality control and manufacturing techniques employed many boat companies are turning out boats that are much better than just a few years ago. I don't think anyone would go wrong with any of the major brands like Ranger, Skeeter, Triton, Stratus, Phoenix, Bullet, Legend and the list goes on. What it boils down to is personal preference and also brand loyalty. I can't wait to catch my first bass out of the back of Jmax's new ride emoWorthy . I hope he has to net my fish before I have to net his emoBigsmile - Wow that would be a change emoDance .

I hear that, I told Derek the same thing and he said I could not fish until he catches one. emoDoh He told me he was going to be the first to boat a fish in his new boat or I was not coming. emoRolleyes Jmax
