Jim, why did you go with the Merc vs. the Yammie SHO or another 4 stroke?
Both are good engine, I use to have a Merc and never had any issues with it. It is still going strong and owned by HL&S on this forum. My personal success has been with a Merc so I was leaning to that motor anyway. Then after talking to a bunch of folks that know engines well they all had less bad to say about the Merc. The parts for them if you ever have to work on one and replace anything are also cheaper in cost. I like the 225 Pro SX Optimax also since it does come with the heavy duty gear case and is built for the tournament angler who runs the heck out of it. I know I don't compare to them but I do fish a lot. It was what Lee Hoss also recommended for me and I could have gotten just about any of them and he knew that. It was his recommendation as well. emoThumbsup Jmax

Bunch marine are great folks too. They support us on this forum. emoThumbsup Maybe on another day they would have been the ones selling me this boat. However I did check with them. I talked with them about the 2011 Z520 they have, I talked with them about ordering a new Z119c like I ended up doing and asked them to send me a quote which they did. If it makes you feel any better they were the second best price I received out of the several I checked with. FnF did beat them. I am afraid I will have to disagree with your statement in my case. emoSorry Jmax

I can vouch for the Bunch crew. Best in my area, for sure. Regarding Fish-N-Fun, here's a short story for you. One of the fishermen up here was telling me of a friend/Ranger owner that had a hub go out on his trailer down your way. He was broke down on the interstate. Turns out Fish-n-Fun sent one of their techs out with a hub and helped this guy get back on the road. Sounds like a pretty good outfit to do business with to me. JMAX, the smell of fresh fiberglass can be addictive, pal. I'm on my third "retirement" boat. LOL!

I've been 100% satisfied with my 07 Z21 and Fish-N-Fun. I ordered it the day after I moved here in June 06.
