Didnt even have the decency to toss them back...

People like that should be banned from the lake along with those that throw their trash around and in the lake !!!!! People like that have no respect for much of anything.

these types make the general public think we're all knuckle dragging Neanderthals

Bow fisherman ?

Most likely, this right here is what gives us bow fishers a bad name. Just remember not everyone does this, I give all of mine away to a couple of families who are very glad to have them.

I have to believe it was most likely a commercial net fisherman who did not want the fish getting caught in their net again, so they just threw them on land.

Definitely bow fisherman. Netters are after a few of the species I see in the pic.

Yeah I see it every once in a while at 58 on Hiwassee. They either throw them right by the ramp where we put in or there are 20 -50 fish floating all around the ramp. It sure is stinky when it happens!

How ignorant does a person have to be to think that is ok? I've caught two bass recently that has a gouge in their side that looked to be from an arrow. Are bass legal to shoot with a bow?

Both fish I saw were in the 3lb range and had a huge gouge like an arrow barely hit them. I wonder how many bedding bass are shot every year thinking they are carp. I ran into a group last year on Guntersville that were bragging about shooting 2 10's that year in crow creek, I said are bass legal to shoot, he replied with who cares....I just shook my head.

I've often wondered, what do Bow fisherman do with their harvest ??? My dad always taught me not to kill it if you weren't willing to eat it !

I do a lot of bowfishing, and seeing fish floating in the water and laying dead next to boat ramp just pisses me off, and most other bow fisherman off because of the way it makes the rest of us look. Not every bow fisherman does this just a few dummies, if you ever see any one doing this please report them.

This same thing happened on Carters lake last year. But most of them were spotted bass and walleye. Just left them right on the ramp. Most of the bow fisherman I've encountered have been cool, but I've had a couple D bags run all through where I was night fishing. But then again bass guys do the same thing. Always got to be A-holes in the bunch I suppose.
