All I can say is for some they really ate well today! emoEek Had some serious nice bass come to the scales today. Even with the weather we had 27 boats show up this morning to fish the Action Alarms 4th of July dog fight. Not bad considering the weather, rain and wind. emoRain Thanks big times to Don and Linda Morgan who own Action Alarms for sponsoring this one with an extra $400.00 added to the winnings. emoThanks

Nathan Bell and Tom Helton kicked everyone's butts today!!! They won the event with 20.12 lbs!!! emoEek Keep in mind this was a three fish dog fight format. They also had big fish with a beauty at 11.07 lbs. emoWorthy WOW!!! For their efforts they walked away with $485.00 for 1st and $135.00 for big bass. Not a bad haul at all with a total of $620.00 in a three fish dog fight. Their picture and big bass is the first two pictures below.

Second place went to Brent Butler and Landry with 16.01 lbs anchored by their big one at 6.70 lbs. emoWorthy Good for $300.00. Third picture below.

Third went to Todd and Zack with 14.40 lbs anchored by their big one at 7.55 lbs. emoWorthy Good for $190.00. Did not get a picture so if you have one post it on here.

Big Trash fish went to Bobby and Junior with a heck of a flat head catfish at 22.62 lbs., caught on a red shad worm! emoWorthy Good for $220.00. Forth picture below.

Total given out was $1,330.00.

Rounding out the top ten were as follows;

4th- Wes Hardin and Cook with 13.11 lbs.
5th- Oscar and Terry with 12.32 lbs.
6th- Mark and Chris with 12.20 lbs., they had only two bass, one was a hair shy of two lbs. The other was 10.23 lbs.!!!! Two bass were caught in our tournament over 10 lbs. His picture is further down the posts/replies below.
7th- Seth and Ben with 12.07 lbs.
8th- Thomas and Mickey with 11.78 lbs.
9th- Corey and Wayne with 11.49 lbs.
10th- Bob and Steve with 11.32 lbs.

You can see there were some really good three fish limits caught today. emoEek Thanks to all who came out.

C-ya on the water! emoAngler Jmax

Thanks Jim and action alarm, had a great time. I checked that fish and it didn't have any holes in it's mouth where it has been caught before. It was unreal to have one over 10 and not get big fish, only on the chick! Congrats to the winners.

Yep, I hear ya there. I would had thought you would have had big fish too. Usually one over 10 is a given on big fish in July. Not today! I felt for you two having that one and only getting a pat on the back. Some folks fish all their lives and never catch a 10 lb bass. :( Jmax

Here is Mark Eustice (Justfishin) bass that was 10.23 lbs today, great fish but today was the second biggest in the tournament. emoWorthy

In case anyone was wondering I brought a cooler for any dead fish weighed in. In the rules I did say one dead would be allowed with a half pound penalty. There were "0" dead. Not one. I was one of the last to leave and there were none floating on top or any that could be seen. emoThumbsup emoThumbsup Thanks to all who fished it for keeping your fish alive. emoToast Jmax

Thanks Jmax for putting on the tournament . Steve and I had a really good time. Well done.

Tom and I had a great time! Caught lots of fish and really enjoyed our day. It was my pleasure getting to net Toms personal best! I started shaking when I saw how big it was and can only imagine what Tom was feeling.
Thanks to Action alarms for putting on a great event!
