I think somthing broke in engine, I was turning about 5300 rpm when I heard a bad rattle. It didnt loose power but I did shut it down. I cranked it back up and it rattled with a loud clanking sound. I pulled plugs and 1 plug on starboard side looked burnt and dry. I wonder what could have happend emoQuestion. I was told it could be my bearings since its making a slapping sound.

Some of the yammi cranks would also start chipping causing the same issue. Even if it was a bearing failure it has probably taken out the crank. You may have saved the block by turning it off. All the ones I have seen have put windows (holes) in the block.

Do you work on yammies or who would you recomend, and if power head good what would be a ballpark price for repair on crankshaft.

I can but it would be a while before I can take on any new work. Since I went dack to work for Dodge, I have gotten further behind. I would have to identify the crank but in one of my books there are several V-6 cranks for $999.95 for a new crank with no bearings. Again would have to identify to get a price on it.
