If the collision was not intentional, I would have bit my lip. If I thought it was intentional there would have been words then reported to the tournament director. But I would never ever board someone’s boat. What if the person in the other boat would have had a gun? Board someone’s boat uninvited in an aggressive manner and “BANG” my kids are fatherless.
I'm just saying the title you gave this post made it seem like you were being raceist becuase you obviously called him a thug becuase he is black. If it would have been turned the other ways and poche got in ishs boat you wouldn't have made that the title. A thug to me is the guy who robs someone or steels something. Not the guy defending the boat he's worked hard to get. But like I said I wasn't there and neither were any of you. Every single story from witnesses is different so we don't know what actually happened all I do know Is that ish went on to fish and cashed a check then went to jail.

I agree with your response that it was not a smart move on Ish part to enter the boat. I would reported it to the tournament director also then the insurance company LOL, LOL. It is almost like a road rage incident. When I was Ranger at Harrison Bay, I remember man getting beat up pretty bad by a guy on a motorcycle over a similar incident at wolftever boat ramp it was not a pretty site.

You don’t know me or how I would have worded anything. I believe that there are thugs of all color. So don’t be so quick to throw the race card. Thug doesn’t mean black to me.
So are you saying if poche would have went into ishs boat you would have made the title the same? Meaning poche would have been a thug from the hood? I'm just asking. i normally keep my nose out of this stuff it's just I know personally how good of a person ish is and I promise you he is very far from a thug and can assure you he's propbably never even seen a "hood" so don't be so quick to throw the thug card at someone who you know only what you hear from websites.

The Webster's dictionary defines a thug as a violent person. I have never heard of a polite, easy going person being called a thug. Don't act violently and you won't be called a thug.
I heard Ish's cussing fit of the tournament officials in front of families and kids over his proof of boat insurance. Then watched him race across and back the no wake zone to get his insurance card and that caused even more trouble. I heard him say that he could physically whoop other anglers over another confrontation while he was weighing in his catch on the podium. Then there was the disqualification and the fine for being late for a meeting, cussing fit. My advise to Ish would be to calm down, act like a gentleman and you won't be the negatively labeled topic of fishing forums. Bad behavior results in negative comments, every time.

So I’m responsible for someone else’s thought process???? I’m not sure how that could be. But whatever. This is like a train wreck, you just have to look. What I ‘m gathering from all of Ish’s want to be friends is that, he acted poorly and it’s not his fault???? Is that correct???? emoScratch

No graybullet, you turned it in to a racist thing by the subject of your post "you can't take the hood out of a thug". While you were looking up your definition of thug=a person engaging in wrong doing, did you happen to look up the defintion of hood?? The ghetto, the streets...???? Do you know where either of these men came from, because I don't. But the title of your post causes me to question...if the headlines read "Ike" instead of "Ish", would your comment have been the same? I really doubt it.

Probably not the best choice of words, especially with all of the stuff going on in the news lately with racial tensions. I would definitely advise my own kids and others not to use those words in that context. Hopefully Ish and Poche can hug it out and learn to control their anger better in tense situations like this.

I’ll take Mr. Guffey’s advice and offer an apology for not being up on my street lingo. I thought “HOOD” was an area in which Thugs engage in unlawful activity, like projects or tailor parks. So, you have my most halfhearted apology.
I do have a question, if you have an answer. Since you think I’m a racist, can you tell me how many black anglers there are fishing the Bass Elite Series and the FLW tour? I may be wrong, and I’m sure you will correct me if I am. There can’t be more than five, I’ve only heard of one Ish Monroe. So, if there is one, and this is a race thing, 100% of black pro anglers have been arrested for assault why fishing a tournament. Just saying.

So quick call Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, a white guy was speaking of a black man and used the words “THUG” & “HOOD” in the same sentence. Funny how facts slap you in the face.
It is what it is. Once again a black male made a bad decision that put him and others in danger and it is everyone’s fault but his. Don’t Act Like a Thug from the Hood and no one will accuse you. And yes I said Hood again.
